The website you own
Your website should be yours.
Edit the actual page.
Not a dashboard about the page.
Nota gives you a real website you can edit in place, shape around your business, and keep under your control.
This is the editor. Click any word and type. Try it ↓Add a section
Changes
A chef-led kitchen. Change any word here, or a dish below, and it is live.
Book a tableThe page is the dashboard.
Most builders give you a dashboard that controls a website somewhere else. Nota puts the control where the website actually lives: on the page, in place, with a Change log and an Undo for everything.
Templates
Start from a demo site.
Three demo sites: Cinder, Flint House and Zellige. Open either one and look around. We set it up with your menu, hours and photos; after that you edit the content, the photographs, the sections and the look yourself.
Demo sites, not mockups. All run on the same engine, and all are yours to shape. Explore all templates →
One engine
One engine. Completely different websites.
The same sections, the same editor, the same engine. What changes is the recipe: a palette, a type, a shape, and the content. These are demo sites built from it, plus a pilot build.
One engine. Completely different restaurants.
Two ways in
Start fast, or have it made.
Start from a template we set up for you, or a build we make around your restaurant. Either way, once it is live you edit the content, the photographs, the sections and the look yourself.
On the phone
Mobile must do everything desktop can.
The editor on a phone works the same way: tap a line, the field sheet rises, you type, it saves. Nothing is desktop-only, and nothing hides behind a second app.
- Tap a line to edit it, in place.
- The field sheet rises from the thumb.
- Save, or cancel, or press Escape.
- Reorder, hide and re-style there too.
Charcoal, mezze, and a room that fills by seven.
The platform
The engine under every site.
One engine runs every site. Everything below is the honest state of it: what is live today, and what is still being built.
The library
Built from sections, not pages.
A page is assembled from 78 building blocks. Here is a real one, the same section placed on each of the four surfaces, with no markup changed.
Charcoal lamb, sumac onion
Dishes and prices above are an illustrative sample. Same section, four surfaces; reorder, hide, restyle or delete any of them. The page is data.
Under the hood
Fast, quiet, and hard to break.
The boring things that matter: how it is served, how it is checked, and how it is kept honest.
Every site runs the same code, so a fix reaches all of them.
Cinder, Flint House and Zellige, all running today.
Every change is verified against the live site before it ships.
Checked on the server, so an unreadable site cannot go live.
Served from the edge, close to whoever is reading.
Live sync
Update it once. The website follows.
Your menu can live somewhere else and stay in sync. Where a site is configured for it, the page reads the Marqii menu, which syncs from Toast. Otherwise it uses the menu you keep in the Nota dashboard. Other providers are added on request.
Marqii is available where a site is set up for it. Elsewhere, and everywhere, the menu lives in the Nota dashboard. Other providers are added on request.
What you own
The website is yours to keep.
You own your content, your photographs, and your domain, in your name. If you ever leave, we hand your content and your images back to you, on request. Nothing here holds your business hostage.
You own
- The domain, in your name
- All of your content
- Your photographs
- Your business information
Nota provides
- The website engine
- The editor
- Hosting and infrastructure
- Updates and care
The website is yours. Nota is the software powering it.
Who it is for
Built first for independent restaurants and businesses with a point of view.
Restaurants are where we started. The same engine fits cafes, studios, shops and any independent business that would rather own its website than rent it.
A good fit
- Independent restaurants, cafes and small hospitality groups.
- Studios, shops and local businesses with a point of view.
- Owners who want to change their own menu, hours and photos.
Not the fit
- Large chains locked to a corporate system.
- Full e-commerce storefronts.
- A site nobody will ever update.
Why
A website you own, not rent.
Most restaurant websites are rented. You pay every month for a page you cannot touch, and the day you stop paying, it is gone.
That is the whole idea behind Nota: a website you own, built to be edited by the people who actually run the place.
Questions
Straight answers.
What is Nota?
Nota is a website platform for restaurants and small businesses. You get a real website you own, with a built-in editor: click any word, dish, price or photograph on the live page and change it.
Do I own the website?
Yes. You own your domain, in your name, along with your content and your photographs. If you ever leave, we hand your content and your images back to you on request.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything is edited on the page itself. Hover or tap a line, type, and it saves. Every change can be undone.
Can I edit it from my phone?
Yes. The editor works the same on a phone: tap a line, the field sheet rises from the thumb, you type, and it saves.
Will my site be found on Google and AI assistants?
Yes. Every site is real, server-rendered HTML with structured data, a sitemap and access for search and AI crawlers, so search engines and assistants can read your menu, hours and address.
What if I already have a menu system?
Where a site is configured for it, the menu reads from your system (Marqii, which syncs from Toast). Otherwise the menu lives in the Nota dashboard, and you edit it there.
Start from something real.
Tell us about your restaurant, and we will set it up with you.
